The VCFS Clinic at the Mater Hospital is supported by the
VCFS Foundation
(Qld) Inc.
The VCFS Clinic at the Mater was developed to support children and young people to the age of 18 and their families. It is Australia’s only multi-disciplinary clinic dedicated solely to VCFS. The clinic is co-ordinated through Kids In Mind and involves professionals from other parts of the Mater Children's Hospital as well as other private specialists.
The children and young people who attend the clinic may already be supported by other teams within the Mater Children's Hospital, other hospitals and/or other health professionals. The VCFS Clinic helps families to coordinate their child's care among a number of health practitioners, while also reducing gaps in services where they exist.
The clinic has two main aims:
1. to provide co-ordination, clinical and support services for children and their families
2. to have a significant research role in Australia and with international experts.

Families will have opportunities to be involved in research. This is to help gain a better understanding of VCFS and its management. All information provided by participants will be confidential.
